Lincoln Place, Rutland, VT

Lincoln Place, the former Immaculate Heart of Mary School, includes 19 one bedroom and micro units for low income and formerly homeless residents of our community. This Housing Trust of Rutland County (HTRC) property offers several community spaces, onsite laundry and services that residents may need in partnership with Community Care Network/RMHS, Homeless Prevention Center and Rutland Housing Authority. Rent includes all utilities and all units are subsidized through a Project Based Section 8 Program contract with the Rutland Housing Authority.

In order to qualify for an apartment, the household must complete both a RHA Preliminary Application and a HTRC application, meet income and program requirements and be approved by both the RHA and HTRC. Applications are processed in the order that they are received and the applicant is placed on a waitlist. Available apartments are rented to those households that are fully approved and have reached the top of the waitlist. Tenant rent is based on 30% of household income with the remainder covered by the RHA Section 8 Program.
